The Distance Between Two Heartbeats – A Silent Love, Unspoken Pain & Healing Souls

 The Distance Between Two Heartbeats

Abuzar was still sitting in front of Zoboriya—

but this time, the weight on his heart wasn’t the same as before.

Some words were still incomplete…

some truths had yet to reach his lips.

Zoboriya quietly held his hand—

as if she had already sensed

that something was still left unsaid in his chest.

“Do you want to say something?”

There was no insistence in her voice, no question—

only waiting.

Abuzar took a deep breath.

“Zoboriya…

I’m getting better.”

Surprise crossed her face,

but there was no smile—

only eyes filled with questions.

“Then,” she said softly,

“when you found out everything—

my illness, my fear—

why did you remain silent?”

Abuzar’s voice trembled,

but his words were clear.

“Because when you left without saying anything…

I broke.

I thought you were like the others—

who turn away the moment they learn the truth.

And when someone leaves without a goodbye…

even hope walks away.”

A strange ache surfaced in Zoboriya’s eyes.

“Yes… I did leave,”

she said in a low voice,

“but not because you were sick.

I left because I felt I wouldn’t be able to cry in front of you.

I wasn’t afraid of you…

I was afraid of the silence

that had started growing between us.”

Abuzar lowered his gaze.

“I waited for you every day,”

he said.

“One call…

one message…

anything.

And when nothing came,

I convinced myself—

maybe the love was only from my side.”

“And now?” Zoboriya asked.

Abuzar looked at her—

this time, there was

no complaint,

no resentment.

Only calm…

and the light of truth.

“Now I understand…

love was never one-sided.

The pain was just different on both sides.”

Zoboriya’s Return

Zoboriya stood up and walked toward the window.

Outside, a gentle rain had begun—

as if every drop was melting the distance between them.

“Now that you know everything, Abuzar,”

she said, turning back,

“know this too—

I haven’t returned only for love.

This time… I’ve come back to stay.”

A warm tear slid down Abuzar’s cheek—

whether it was pain or relief,

even he couldn’t tell.

“So what will we do now?”

he asked.

Zoboriya smiled.

“Now we’ll live all those silences

that were taken away from us.

We’ll listen to every heartbeat

that was meant for us…

but remained unspoken.”

And Beyond That Window…

After a while, both of them stood near the window.

Abuzar extended his hand—

and without hesitation,

Zoboriya held it.

Outside, the rain was still gentle…

and inside,

every wall was slowly falling.

Life was being rewritten—

not in the shadow of fear,

not in unfinished silences…

But in a story completed

between two hearts.

“When love moves beyond silence…”

Safwan — A Silent Shadow

Zoboriya and Abuzar’s lives were now walking a new path.

Two hearts—

finally understanding each other’s rhythm.

But at the edge of this story,

a name was still breathing—

Safwan.

The one who once understood Zoboriya’s silence…

now remembered her only in silence.

Every morning, with a cup of tea,

he sat by the window—

as if her reflection still lived there.

Every evening, he let the cold breeze touch his face—

as if that voice now belonged to someone else.

A question lived in his heart every day:

“Is she truly happy with Abuzar?”

He never blamed anyone—

not Zoboriya,

not Abuzar.

He wasn’t defeated in love…

he had simply fallen silent.

Zoboriya’s smile didn’t hurt him,

but it left a heavy weight on his chest.

He knew—

Abuzar was better than him.

At least he didn’t hide his feelings.

“Maybe my silence is what pushed her away…”

This question

became part of every night.

Now he was only a shadow—

present,

yet unseen.

That Deepest Pain…

The deepest pain

comes when love leaves in silence.

A person looks fine on the outside,

but inside…

they are breaking.

Behind every smile

there is a scream—

a scream only Allah can hear.

Safwan was feeling exactly that today.

After Zoboriya left his life,

the storm inside him

never found a voice.

He sat by the window…

tears filled his eyes,

but didn’t fall—

just like his life,

which had stopped right there.

People said—

“He’s so strong…”

But the truth was,

he had shattered completely from within.

Now he had only one support—

his silent prayers to Allah.

Even today, he prayed for her safety—

even if she was no longer part of his life.

Because sometimes,

loneliness

is more loyal than love.

And today,

Safwan embraced his loneliness

like an old companion

who never leaves…

🌙 Next Short Part:

Between Breath and Destiny

That night, silence returned —

but this time, it wasn’t heavy.

Abuzar lay awake, listening to the soft rhythm of his own heartbeat.

For the first time in a long while, it didn’t feel lonely.

Across the room, Zoboriya stood near the door, watching him quietly.

She realized something then —

Some love doesn’t need loud promises.

It only needs presence.

She walked back to him and whispered,

“If fear comes again… we’ll face it together.”

Abuzar smiled faintly.

Outside, the rain had stopped.

Inside, something fragile yet eternal had begun to grow —

Not hurried love,

Not fearful love,

But a love that had learned patience…

and survived silence.
